LED Street Lights

By replacing conventional street lights with energy-efficient LED technology, communities can reduce street light energy use, generating significant cost savings and emission reductions.

Clean Energy and Climate Smart Communities programs recognize and reward local governments for their clean energy leadership.

In March 2020, the 22 street lights on County Route 30 in West Hebron were converted from Cobra Heads to LED lights. Since their installation, the Town of Hebron has cut energy use for street lighting (measured in Kwh) by 72%.
